Greetings. I’m Bahri. I’m a hairstyle and formula expert and instructor. Today I want to show you a very gentle highlight, mostly suitable for young girls who prefer to have a subtle highlight rather than a sharp one not to look older than their actual age.

You can use either a decoloring powder or dye for this highlight as you prefer. Here we are going to use a decoloring powder. First, pour your decoloring material on a flat surface. Then you can use your hairbrush to apply the material to the hair. Hold the hair in your hand and smear your hairbrush in your decoloring material. Now brush the hair slowly.

Brush the hair in a way that you cover the whole hair layer until the end of the stem. Separate the next layer. Keep in mind not to brush the hair too deep. Just brushing the surface is enough to prevent getting the material across all layers of hair. Hold the next piece in your hand and brush the surface.

With this method, you will have a very mild highlight and we can even use triple zero dye or 12.1 or 12.2 colors or any other light color in your dye category to achieve the same effect. As you can see, there’s no trace of material on the deeper layers of hair and the material is only applied to the surface. This helps to achieve the sparse and gentle highlight that we want. You can even start the highlight closer to the root, which depends on your preference.

Don’t pick your layers too thin. Your layers should be thin enough so that while you add the material, it doesn’t get across the whole hair and only affects the surface. You can brush any area of the hair you think has too much material on it to distribute it across the rest of the hair. We continue this process until the product is added to the whole hair. Then we’ll wait for thirty minutes while the hair turns into a mild gold, or honey and honey color. You can dye your hair afterward or just leave the hair in this color.
