Greeting. I’m Shaghayegh Ghambari, skin and micro-pigmentation expert. Today I want to show you what Microneedling is and how it is done.

One of the best and most effective ways to get a younger skin is Microneedling. In this process, a string of needles are used to penetrate the surface of the tissue and reach the Dermis, the second layer of the skin. This will stimulate the immune system and cause the Epidermis to get thicker. It can also help reach a higher skin growth rate, Elastin, and Collagen. Elastin and Collagen are highly elastic protein tissues. They are responsible for the shape, firmness, and elasticity of the skin.

Microneedling isn’t dangerous and will not have dramatic side effects. But since you are penetrating the skin tissues, it’s very important to pay attention to safety and hygiene-related concerns, like using sterile tools.

We are going to start the process by cleaning and disinfecting the skin. Use the appropriate anesthetic. During this process, you can use supplementary products like nutrition, anti-wrinkle or coenzymes such as Q10. The type of product is based on the lesion you're trying to resolve. You can use these products while performing the microneedling process.

You have to control your hand pressure. Use gentle pressure and control the depth to which the needle reaches. In areas where the skin is thinner, 0.5 millimeters of penetration would suffice. In thicker areas, you can go as far as 1.0 millimeters. Keep repeating the process until you notice redness or puffiness in the area. There should be no bleeding. This process can be repeated once each month and it will take from 4 to 6 sessions.

Not all people are good candidates for Microneedling. People with diabetes, epilepsy, or skin conditions such as colloid, pimples with acne bacteria, or blisters cannot forego this type of operation. Microneedling can have different applications, like treating surface wrinkles, hair growth stimulation, scars left from acne or operations and burns, stretch marks or treating open skin pores.

Our work is done here.I’ve applied a zinc cream for my client. Advise your clients to use zinc cream for two days, avoid direct sunlight. They can use recovery products after two days. Try to avoid foods containing too much spice. It’s also important to avoid moisture for up to at least 48 hours since the skin is canalized and there’s a chance of infection. After a few days, you might notice flakiness on the skin. Avoid peeling the flaky skin.

I hope this tutorial has been useful to you. I invite you to join our private classes.
