When a client asks which color is more suitable for me, you should give then an honest consult. Tell them about all the items available to them. It’s true that the client will have the last say in choosing the color, nevertheless, you should tell them if their chose isn’t the right one and try to convince them to make a better choice. For example, brunettes shouldn’t choose a cool color like olive or gray. This will make them look gloomy and depressed and it’s a good choice to go with warm colors such as coffee, wine, or variations of oak colors.

People with white skin are better suited to cooler colors. There’s a beautiful harmony between white skins and cool colors. Another important factor to consider is the client’s age. If you have a young customer asking for an olive dye, even if they have white skin, it’s most likely not suitable for their age. This is true about women of an older age. Therefore, the most important factors you have to consider when choosing a color to dye your client’s hair are their age, eye color, and skin color. You can make the best suggestions based on these factors and by using the color catalogs. Show them their options, consult them in their choice, and let them choose and have the last say after all.
