Balayage Explained

In this brief tutorial, you will learn more about the concept of balayage. This video was provided by Mrs. Zahra Karimi.

Instructions:

Balayage means bleaching hair in the open air without any sort of cover on the hair. You should remember that this method is less useful for thick hair and it’s better to use foil wraps or foam wraps if you want to bleach this type of hair because the heat generated by the foil wrap will have a direct effect on bleaching the hair.

The different between balayage and highlight is that during this process, the root of the hair is darkest and it’s lighter as you reach the stem and tip of the hair layer. Since the root is usually the natural color, after the hair growth there will be no need for a restoration process. You can apply beautiful highlights using this method with wine and even pink dye.
