Instructions:

After applying the basis for the eyeshadow, we have to start covering the skin. My aim is not to find the best possible cream powder, which is suitable for all skin types. A good makeup artist should mix a good cream powder, which is suitable to the skin they are working on.

Based on my experience, I always take different foundation material and mix them to get the most suitable mixture possible. Fortunately, there is material available in the market these days, which enables you to create your own foundation material. If I want to analyze the basic components of cream powders,
Then I will have a mixing substance, which is a moisturizing liquid. They contain oil, alcohol, a material that acts as a dryer on the skin and makes the mixture stable after application, and finally, color pigments.

We can mix these materials ourselves based on the skin type and come up with a mixture much more suitable to the skin we are working on. This way we will get much better results. If the skin is oily, you have to reduce the oiliness and add more alcohol to the cream powder yourself and maybe reduce the alcohol for dry skin types. Because this concept is very important, in my new classes, I have included a workshop dedicated to mixing foundations so my students will learn how to mix their own cream powders. This will make you completely independent of the market and you will not need to look for suitable materials for your work all the time anymore. The pigments you add to the mixture is also in your control.

You can have a color palette that is completely devoid of any oily material. You will not need pan sticks and oily foundations, instead, you can use your non-oily color palette to mix your own cream powder and foundation. I have applied the necessary foundation work for my client based on the nature of their skin. I will now mix my pigmentation material with the rest of the substances that I told you about which are oil, alcohol, and drying material. I will mix all these and create two different color tones, one dark, and one light. I will use the lighter color tone for the highlights and the darker one for contour.

Let’s see the rest of the process. Skin foundation, cover, and makeup, including strobing, contour, and highlight have all been applied to the face and finally, we used fixing powder to fix the makeup. What we care about the most, is using the material, which is not only waterproof, they are also oil-resistant so they do not smear with oil. We should always try to apply the makeup in a way that the client can keep it intact for hours afterward without the foundation or makeup starting to change in color.

Now let’s spray the skin with some water. My work is done here.
